The initiatives aim to prepare students for leadership, entrepreneurship, and well-being through governance committees, startup support, and mindfulness activities, while also linking academics with social responsibility and community engagement.

Delhi schools will roll out three new education programs. Sept 18 as part of Day 2 of Sewa Pakhwada, a two-week campaign of welfare and community activities held on the Prime Minister’s birthday. The launch event will take place at Bharat Mandapam.
The flagship program, Rashtraniti, is designed to give students a platform in school governance.

Each school will set up at least seven student-led committees focused on issues such as environmental action, anti-bullying, and canteen management.
Representatives will be elected through a voting process within schools, with teachers serving as mentors.
Officials said the initiative will help students develop leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
For Classes 8 to 12, the government is introducing “NEEEV” (New Era of Entrepreneurial Ecosystem and Vision) to nurture innovation and entrepreneurship.
The plan includes startup competitions, guest lectures, and the creation of innovation councils at school and district levels.
Students with strong project ideas may also receive financial support of up to Rs 20,000.
The third initiative, “The Science of Living,” will focus on mindfulness and well-being. Schools will integrate yoga, meditation, cyber safety, and digital detox sessions into daily activities.
Students will also participate in hands-on exercises such as Yamuna clean-up drives, role-plays, and puppet shows to foster social awareness and responsibility.
Beyond education programs, the day’s schedule includes a tree plantation drive with diplomats and the inauguration of 500 Anganwadi-cum-creches.
Officials said these initiatives reflect Delhi’s approach to linking academics with life skills while encouraging holistic growth among students.
