SAKHI: Enhancing Astronaut Capabilities for Gaganyaan Mission

Astronauts during the Gaganyaan Space Mission

The Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC), part of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), has developed a groundbreaking application named the Space-borne Assistant and Knowledge Hub for Crew Interaction (SAKHI) to aid astronauts during the Gaganyaan Space Mission.

SAKHI serves as a comprehensive tool, providing astronauts with technical information, communication capabilities, health monitoring, connectivity with Earth and onboard systems, and management of dietary schedules.

Attached to their space suits, SAKHI enables astronauts to access data, maintain logs, and remain updated on their well-being, thereby enhancing safety and efficiency for the Gaganyaan mission. This initiative aligns with ISRO's objective of advancing space exploration.
