Candidates were given revised reporting and exam timings, with the NTA assuring full compensatory time and providing helpline support to address queries and operational disruptions.

Several CUET UG 2026 examination centers experienced delays on May 30 after a technical malfunction disrupted the scheduled start of the test, according to the National Testing Agency (NTA).
In an official update posted on X, the agency said the disruption was linked to Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), which is associated with conducting the examination process.

It added that the issue was resolved and compensatory measures were put in place so that candidates did not lose exam time.
"TCS has reported that a technical glitch at their end delayed the commencement of CUET UG 2026 at some centers on Saturday. The issue has since been resolved, and the exam is being conducted with full compensatory time so that no candidate is disadvantaged," the NTA said.
Following the incident, the NTA rescheduled timings for the afternoon shift. Candidates were directed to report at 2:30 pm, while the examination was pushed to 4:00 pm instead of the earlier 3:00 pm start.
The agency also clarified that candidates appearing in the morning shift would be allotted the complete exam duration and would only be allowed to exit after the full time period was completed.
"NTA sincerely regrets the inconvenience caused to students and parents," the agency said.
For assistance, the NTA activated its helpline number +91-11-40759000 and email support at [email protected] to address candidate concerns.
