CBSE releases LOC schedule for 2027 board exams

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the schedule for submission of the List of Candidates (LOC) for the Class 10 and Class 12 main examinations for the 2026-27 academic session.

The board has made it clear that only students whose names are submitted through the online LOC process will be permitted to appear for the Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations in the 2026-27 session.

According to the CBSE circular, schools must complete the registration process before submitting the LOC online. Schools will use their affiliation number as the user ID, which is already available to them.

Newly affiliated schools that have not received their password or related instructions have been asked to contact the concerned CBSE Regional Office. After receiving the password, schools should change it for future use and keep it confidential to prevent misuse. The responsibility for maintaining the security of the password will rest with the respective schools.

The board has stressed that student details must be submitted accurately and that the correct subjects must be selected during the LOC process.

Two-board examination policy for Class 10

Under the two-board examination policy, the first Class 10 board examination will be held in February-March and will be mandatory for all candidates.

The LOC for the first Class 10 board examination must be submitted for all Class 10 candidates. The LOC for the second Class 10 board examination will be filled after the first examination is over.

The CBSE has also directed principals to obtain a daily report from the concerned teacher or official on the status of LOC submission and fee payment, beginning seven days before the last date for submission.
