1 dead as massive fire breaks out at oil refinery in Gujarat

Police Commissioner Vadodara said an Indian Oil Corporation employee succumbed to burn injuries while two others injured are undergoing treatment at a hospital. At least 11 fire tenders are involved in fire extinguishing operations and additional foam fire tenders will arrive from Ankleshwar to remain on standby as the firefighting may continue overnight, said Vadodara District Collector.

Bombay High Court says entering a hotel room does not mean ‘consent to sex’

Justice Deshpande dismissed the March 2021 Trial Court order and said that a girl booking and entering a hotel room with a man does not implicate her consent to sexual intercourse. The judge noted the trail court “clearly committed an error” by remarking that the victim consented to sex.

JCO among 3 security personnel injured in encounter in J&K’s Kishatwar

A police officer said around three-four militants opened fire on the security forces search party on Nov 10 morning, injuring three personnel, including the Junior Commissioner Officer. The seek-and- destroy operation was launched in Keshwan and Kuntawara forests of Kishtawar on Nov 8 to track down terrorists involved in killing of two civil defense guards on Nov 7 evening, he said.
