Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Nov 10 released the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) manifesto for the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly polls at an event in Mumbai and promised 25 lakh jobs for youth in the next five years.

Shah vowed to hike Ladki Bahin Yojna allowance from ₹1,500 to ₹2,100 and promised a loan waiver for farmers.

Speaking at the event, Shah said that the BJP's manifesto is a true reflection of the aspirations of the people of Maharashtra.

“Maharashtra has always led the way for an independent India and for social reform and the aspirations of this state are reflected in the manifesto,” he said.

“The manifesto reflects the genuine needs and aspirations of the people of Maharashtra. This state is a leader. Even Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj began his journey here. This manifesto embodies the spirit of Maharashtra,” he added.

He emphasized on respecting farmers and empowering women to foster a sense of pride.

“If elected to power, BJP government will offer zero-interest loans up to ₹25 lakh to boost industrial development. Farmers will benefit from loan waivers to alleviate their debt burdens and support agricultural growth.” Shah said.

He said the BJP will extend the “Lakhpati Didi” scheme, which currently benefits 11 lakh women, to 50 lakh women, empowering them financially.

Launching a scathing attack on Congress and the Opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) in Maharashtra after releasing the manifesto, Shah said, “Congress reneged on pre-election promises made in states ruled by it now; Maha Vikas Aghadi has no credibility. BJP will not allow religion-based reservation in the country.”

“Opposition MVA promises insult ideology and promotes appeasement,” he added.

Slamming the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Shah asked, “Can Uddhav Thackeray request Rahul Gandhi to speak two good words about Veer Savarkar?”

Shah said a comprehensive skill census will be conducted to evaluate the demand and supply of jobs in the private sector, aiming to create more employment opportunities.

He also criticized the Congress for not fulfilling its pre-election commitments in the states it governs, questioning its reliability. Shah targeted the MVA alliance – Congress, Shiv Sena (UBT), and the NCP (led by Sharad Pawar), claiming that it lacked credibility.

Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who was present during the manifesto launch event said, “The vision of developed India is also our roadmap for Maharashtra. We have prepared a report card of the BJP’s achievements and ongoing projects, and we are confident that the people of Maharashtra trust the BJP and Mahayuti alliance. Among the 25 key promises we highlighted are the Ladki Behen Yojanas and farm loan waivers”.

The Maharashtra assembly polls will take place on Nov 20, with the counting of votes for all 288 constituencies set for Nov 23.
