The 500-year-old temple in Khaggu Sarai, located just over a kilometer from the Shahi Jama Masjid in Sambhal, that was at the center of recent communal tensions after a court-ordered survey of the mosque over claims that it was built on the remains of a Hindu temple allegedly razed under Babur's orders.
