Trump threatens unprecedented strikes if Tehran fails to honor ceasefire terms as regional tensions escalate.

Amid a fragile two-week ceasefire between the United States and Iran, US President Donald Trump has warned that American military assets will remain deployed in and around Iran until a final agreement is fully implemented.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump said US ships, aircraft and personnel — backed by additional ammunition and weaponry — would stay in position to ensure compliance. He described the move as necessary for the “lethal prosecution and destruction” of what he called an already weakened adversary.

Trump reiterated that the ceasefire understanding included commitments from Tehran to keep the Strait of Hormuz fully operational and to refrain from developing nuclear weapons. He cautioned that any breach could trigger a significantly larger military response.
