White Canadians have become the new target of Khalistani extremists in Canada, who previously targeted India.
In a video shared on social media, an extremist can be heard referring to Canadians as "invaders" and urging them to "go back to England and Europe." The video was reportedly recorded by a suspected Khalistan sympathizer.
Apparently, someone filmed the two-minute video during a 'Nagar Kirtan' procession in the Surrey area of British Columbia, Canada. It shows several people marching slowly in a single direction, with background music playing.
In the footage, a number of men can also be seen waving Khalistan flags.
The individual filming the procession can be heard asking viewers for "likes and shares" while shouting inflammatory slogans.
He is heard saying, "White people are invaders" and "We are the owners of Canada." He then tells white Canadians to "go back to England and Europe."
"This is Canada, our own country. You [Canadians] go back," he continues.
A user named Daniel Bordman shared the video on X with the caption: "Khalistanis march around Surrey, BC, and claim 'we are the owners of Canada' and 'white people should go back to Europe and Israel.' How are we allowing these jerks to shape our foreign policy?"
Earlier, protesters brandishing Khalistani flags clashed with devotees at the Hindu Sabha Temple and interrupted a gathering co-organized by the temple's authorities and the Indian Consulate in Brampton.
After Canadian security authorities informed the organizers that they could not provide the minimum required security protection, the Consulate General of India in Toronto announced last week that it was canceling several planned consular camps.
On Nov 13, a consular event at the Brampton Triveni Temple in Canada was canceled after Canadian police issued a warning about the "extremely high and imminent" threat level of violent protests.
India condemned the attack with an expectation that those indulging in violence "will be prosecuted.”
Following the clash, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau acknowledged the presence of Khalistani supporters in Canada, stating that there is a Khalistan support base in the country.
However, he quickly clarified that they do not represent the Sikh community as a whole.
Previously, a BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir in the city of Edmonton was vandalized with hateful anti-India comments in Canada in July this year.
India has repeatedly denied any involvement in the killing of Hardeep Singh Nijjar, who the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has listed as a terrorist, and has alleged that Trudeau’s government is yielding to Khalistani supporters for political gain.
India has strongly rejected any involvement in Nijjar's murder, an allegation made by the Trudeau government.
Sanjay Kumar Verma, the Indian envoy, claimed that terrorists and Khalistani extremists are "deep assets" of the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS).
Canada summoned Verma back after declaring senior diplomats as "persons of interest" in the investigation into Nijjar’s murder.
