The programs are part of IGNOU's expansion of four-year undergraduate offerings under the UGC's credit framework, with admissions subject to course-specific eligibility, fees and availability requirements.

IGNOU has introduced nine one-year master's programs for graduates who have completed a four-year undergraduate program (FYUP), offering an accelerated route to postgraduate education under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 framework.
The programs offered under the initiative are:

The one-year master's programs are open to candidates who have completed a four-year undergraduate degree. The initiative allows eligible graduates to pursue postgraduate studies in their respective disciplines through a shorter program structure.
IGNOU announced the programs through its social media channels as part of its efforts to expand academic offerings under the FYUP framework.
The university has been aligning its programs with the UGC's Curriculum and Credit Framework and NEP 2020. Its existing FYUP offerings include Bachelor of Arts programs in English, Sanskrit and other disciplines.
Candidates interested in these programs should check the specific eligibility requirements, admission procedure, fee structure and program availability before applying.
IGNOU has also extended the re-registration deadline for the July 2026 session to Aug 16, 2026.
The extension applies to eligible students enrolled in undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma and certificate programs through Open and Distance Learning (ODL) as well as online modes.
