Israel and Hezbollah have been at war since late Sep of this year, and Israeli forces have been increasingly bombing Hezbollah targets across Lebanon.
The Israeli Defense Forces announced on Nov 4 that they had "eliminated" Abu Ali Rida, a senior Hezbollah commander. Rida was accused of orchestrating rocket and anti-tank missile attacks against Israeli forces in southern Lebanon.
The commander, who led Hezbollah’s operations in the Baraachit region, was killed in an airstrike, although the military did not disclose the exact time and date of his death.
“Rida was responsible for planning and executing rocket and anti-tank missile attacks on IDF (military) troops and oversaw the terrorist activities of Hezbollah operatives in the area," the military said.
Hezbollah launched rockets into northern Israel to assist its affiliate, Hamas, in Gaza, sparking the current battle after nearly a year of escalating cross-border clashes.
The conflict between Israel and Hamas, which began with a surprise strike on southern Israel on Oct 7 of last year, has already escalated significantly.
Israel and Hezbollah have been at war since late Sep of this year, and Israeli forces have been increasingly bombing Hezbollah locations across Lebanon.
Hassan Nasrallah, the former leader of Hezbollah, is among the senior commanders and leaders of the group who have been killed in this military action.
The Iranian-backed terrorist group also acknowledged the death of Nabil Kaouk, the deputy leader of Hezbollah's Central Council, one day after Nasrallah was killed in an Israeli airstrike in Beirut.
They also informed us that another senior commander, Ali Karaki, died in the attack. Mohammad Surour, Ibrahim Kobeissi, Ahmad Wehbe, and Ibrahim Akil were the other Hezbollah commanders who died in the attacks.
