Cricketer’s father discharged after health scare, but the couple remains silent on a new wedding date as speculation grows online.

India women’s cricket star Smriti Mandhana’s wedding to music composer Palash Muchhal remains indefinitely postponed, even as her father Shrinivas Mandhana, whose sudden medical emergency halted the celebrations, has now been declared stable and discharged from a Sangli hospital.
The ceremony was originally scheduled to take place in the Mandhana family’s hometown in Sangli, but was called off after Shrinivas developed symptoms resembling a heart attack just hours before the rituals were to begin.

According to reports, an angiography revealed no arterial blockages, and doctors advised routine monitoring before discharging him.
Smriti’s manager, Tuhin Mishra, confirmed that the decision to pause the wedding came from the cricketer herself:
“Smriti is extremely close to her father and wants him to recover fully before moving ahead.”
Despite his improving condition, neither family has announced a revised wedding date.
Adding to the mystery, Mandhana has deleted her engagement and pre-wedding posts from Instagram. Several teammates — including Jemimah Rodrigues, who originally shared a widely viewed video featuring Team India dancing to Samjho Ho Gaya — also removed related content. The sudden disappearance of photos and videos has triggered widespread speculation across social platforms.
Singer and Palash’s sister Palak Muchhal issued a brief statement urging restraint, stressing that the delay was purely based on health concerns.
“We request everyone to respect the privacy of both families during this sensitive time.”

Meanwhile, Palash himself was briefly hospitalized upon returning to Mumbai, reportedly due to viral infection and stress. His mother said Palash shares an unusually strong bond with Smriti’s father — strong enough that he insisted the ceremony be halted until recovery.
As of now, both families have refrained from confirming when — or whether — the rescheduled ceremony will take place.
With digital traces scrubbed, celebrations abandoned, and official silence continuing, the Mandhana–Muchhal wedding remains one of the most closely watched — and most mysterious — paused celebrity events of the year.
