Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday filed a petition in a Delhi court seeking directions to Tihar Jail authority to provide him with insulin.
Currently lodged in Tihar jail, Kejriwal suffers from acute diabetes and has thus moved the Rouse Avenue Court asking authorities to provide insulin in jail.

The court is set to hear the petition at 2 am today, said the Aam Aadmi Party.
Kejriwal, 55, was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on March 21 in connection with the Delhi excise policy case.
Kejriwal has sought permission to consult his doctor through video conferencing daily for 15 minutes due to his acute diabetes and fluctuating blood sugar levels. He also asked to have his wife present during these consultations, reported Live Law.
Earlier, AAP minister Atishi alleged that the Delhi CM was denied insulin in jail and there's a conspiracy to kill him in jail. She had also alleged that ED is spreading misinformation after the latter said in court that Kejriwal was consuming high-sugar foods like mangoes and sweets to deliberately increase his blood sugar level.
Following AAP’s claim, Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena issued a directive to the director-general of prisons to submit a factual report regarding AAP's allegations that Kejriwal was not being provided insulin in Tihar Jail.
Delhi cabinet minister Atishi also claimed that there was a plot to kill Kejriwal by denying him home-cooked food and insulin in jail, a charge denied by prison authorities.
Everyone knows Arvind Kejriwal is a patient of severe diabetes... he has been suffering for the past 30 years. To keep his sugar level under control he takes 54 units of insulin daily," Atishi had said in a press conference on Thursday.
"Despite Arvind Kejriwal's repeated requests, he is not being given insulin, and his sugar level is increasing. He is not being given medication because there is a plot to kill him," she added.
