Mumbai Police have detained a teenager from Chhattisgarh in connection with false bomb threats directed at three flights bound for Mumbai.
The bomb scares, which raised alarm among passengers and authorities alike, were traced back to social media posts made by the minor.

Authorities were alerted to the hoax when several bomb threats targeting flights were posted online.
After a thorough investigation, police identified the teenager as the individual responsible for the alarming threats. He was apprehended and later presented to the Juvenile Justice Board, with his parents notified of the situation.
Preliminary investigations have suggested that the bomb hoax was triggered by a monetary dispute between the teenager and one of his friends.
In a retaliatory move, the boy allegedly used his friend’s photograph to post the threats, aiming to frame him for the incident.
Mumbai Police are now exploring whether this hoax is connected to a series of similar bomb threats made against multiple flights over the past few days.
In the last 72 hours alone, nearly a dozen Indian flights, both domestic and international, have reported receiving false bomb threats.
Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu has confirmed that the situation is being closely monitored.
He assured the public that stringent measures are being taken to hold those responsible accountable. “We have detained a minor involved in issuing these threats, and we are committed to identifying any others who played a role in these disruptions,” Naidu said.
As the investigation continues, authorities are working diligently to ensure the safety of all flights and prevent further incidents of this nature.
