President Droupadi Murmu, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, and other political figures sent personal greetings as Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrated his 75th birthday.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi turned 75 on Sep 17 and received greetings from leaders across India’s political spectrum, along with messages from prominent global figures.
President Droupadi Murmu posted on X that she wished the prime minister “a long life devoted to the service of the nation,” lauding his “visionary leadership and tireless efforts for India’s progress.” Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar called Modi “an inspiration for the youth of India” and wished him continued strength.

Home Minister Amit Shah praised Modi as “the architect of a new India who has brought the country to the forefront of global leadership.” Defence Minister Rajnath Singh highlighted Modi’s “decisive governance and dedication to national security.” BJP national president J.P. Nadda referred to him as “a leader who has redefined development politics.”
Opposition leaders also extended greetings. Taking to X, Congress MP and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi wrote, “Wishing Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji a happy birthday and good health,” while NCP chief Sharad Pawar and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee sent personal messages of goodwill.
International wishes included messages from leaders in neighboring South Asian countries and Indian-origin heads of state, emphasizing India’s growing global influence under Modi’s leadership.
Across India, the Bharatiya Janata Party organized welfare drives, including blood donation camps, health check-ups, and tree-planting events.
In Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh, volunteers distributed food to underprivileged communities. Temples from Varanasi to Dwarka held special prayers, while the Ganga Aarti in Varanasi featured chants for Modi’s health and longevity.
This year’s celebrations coincided with ongoing preparations for key economic reforms and diplomatic initiatives, reflecting the government’s emphasis on development as the prime minister begins another year in office.
