In a powerful strike against the terror network responsible for the Pahalgam massacre, the homes of two Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists, Adil Hussain Thoker and Asif Sheikh, were obliterated in separate explosions late on April 24 night.

These blasts, which devastated their residences, are being seen as a targeted response to their involvement in the brutal attack that left 28 dead, including 25 Indian nationals and one Nepali citizen.

Thoker, a native of Anantnag, stands accused as one of the key perpetrators of the horrific Pahalgam attack on April 22. Sheikh, hailing from Pulwama, is suspected of being complicit in the planning of the assault.

Authorities revealed that explosives had been stored within their homes, which were reduced to rubble in the overnight blasts.

The Pahalgam massacre, one of the deadliest assaults on civilians in the region in recent years, unfolded in the serene Baisaran meadow – a popular tourist destination dubbed "mini Switzerland."

As tourists marveled at the breathtaking views of the Himalayas and the lush pine forests, they were met with terror, leaving the region in shock.

Authorities have since intensified their search, releasing sketches of Thoker and two other suspected terrorists believed to be Pakistani nationals.

Anantnag Police also announced a reward of ₹20 lakh for credible information leading to the capture of Hashim Musa alias Suleman and Ali Bhai alias Talha Bhai, both linked to the Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a powerful address from Bihar, vowed that India would relentlessly pursue the terrorists responsible for the attack, vowing to track them to the "ends of the earth." Reaffirming India's resolve, Modi declared that terrorism would not go unpunished and that those behind the attack would face consequences beyond their imagination.

"The time has come to raze whatever is left of the terror haven," Modi declared. "The will of 140 crores will break the back of the masters of terror."

In a swift and decisive response, India also launched a series of punitive measures against Pakistan, including the expulsion of Pakistani military attaches, the suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty, and the closure of the Attari land-transit post, citing the "cross-border links" to the Pahalgam attack.

The message is clear: India’s fight against terrorism is unyielding, and those who seek to sow fear will find no refuge.
