Speeding luxury car loses control, wrecks roadside stalls and stalls before deadly crash; one arrested, three at large.

In a chilling incident caught on camera in Jaipur on January 9 night, a speeding Audi driven by an allegedly intoxicated driver rampaged through a crowded street, killing one pedestrian and injuring 15 others.
According to police reports, the luxury car went out of control, first smashing into a road divider before violently crashing into roadside food carts and stalls over a 30-metre stretch. The carnage left several parked vehicles damaged and the Audi mangled beyond recognition after it finally crashed into a tree.

The horrific crash victim count reached 16, with the injured rushed to a nearby hospital. Four victims were critically wounded and transferred to Sawai Man Singh (SMS) Hospital, where 45-year-old Ramesh Bairwa from Bhilwara succumbed to his injuries.
Authorities confirmed that four people were inside the Audi at the time — all allegedly drunk. While one suspect, identified as driver Dinesh Ranwan from Churu district, was apprehended, the other three fled the scene and remain at large.
The vehicle has been seized as police launch a manhunt for the absconding passengers.
Expressing grief over the tragedy, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma directed officials to ensure the best medical care for the injured. His deputy Premchand Bairwa and Health Minister Gajendra Singh Khimsar also visited SMS Hospital to check on the victims’ conditions.
This incident has ignited fresh debate on road safety and the deadly consequences of drunk driving in Rajasthan, calling for urgent action to prevent such preventable tragedies.
