More than 15 female students from a Delhi ashram-run institute have accused the manager of sexual harassment, prompting police to file multiple charges and launch raids while the suspect remains at large.

Authorities in Delhi have filed a complaint against Swami Chaitanyananda Saraswati (alias Parthasarthi), manager of an institute run by an ashram in Vasant Kunj, for allegedly molesting over 15 female students enrolled under the Economic Weaker Section (EWS) quota.
The case first came to light in August when an administrator at the institute approached the police.

According to the Delhi Police, statements from 32 women students were recorded during investigation, of whom 17 alleged incidents involving abusive language, vulgar messages, and unwanted physical contact.
Some female faculty and administrative staff were also accused of pressuring students to comply with the manager’s demands.
During the probe, police discovered that Chaitanyananda was using a red Volvo car with a forged “31 UN” number plate, falsely presenting it as a United Nations diplomatic vehicle. Preliminary forensic analysis indicated that the plate was fabricated.
Police have registered cases under sections including 75(2) (sexual harassment), 79 (mischief), and 351(2) of the Delhi laws against Chaitanyananda. Additionally, a separate case was filed on August 25 under forgery, cheating, and misuse of a “property mark” for the fake number plate.

Despite raids at multiple locations in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh, the accused has not yet been arrested and is reportedly absconding. His last known location was in Agra, according to police sources. CCTV footage, NVRs, and hard disks from the institute have been seized and sent for forensic analysis.
In reaction to the allegations, the ashram has issued a statement declaring that it had cut all ties with Swami Chaitanyananda, condemning his actions and pledging to cooperate with law enforcement.
The case has drawn attention to the safety and accountability measures at educational institutions, particularly those run under religious or charitable trusts. Investigations are ongoing as students and educators await justice.
