The Hyderabad-based management institute will collaborate with CII to offer PGDM students industry-led training, professional mentorship, internships and placement support.

Hyderabad-based Vignana Jyothi Institute of Management (VJIM) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Confederation of Indian Industry's (CII) Institute of Logistics to strengthen industry-oriented management education and prepare students for careers in logistics and supply chain management.
The partnership aims to connect classroom learning with practical industry requirements. It will bring industry professionals, corporate networks and specialised training opportunities into VJIM's Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) programme.

Under the agreement, students are expected to benefit from several industry-focused initiatives, including:
Expert-led classroom sessions and interactions with industry professionals.
Mentorship from logistics and supply chain management specialists.
Industrial visits and exposure to operational best practices.
Internship opportunities and placement assistance.
Practical understanding of procurement and inventory management.
Training exposure to transportation management and demand forecasting.
Familiarity with digital supply chain platforms, artificial intelligence and automation.
The collaboration is designed to help students understand how modern supply chains operate and develop skills relevant to the changing requirements of employers.
The partnership comes amid growing demand for professionals with expertise in logistics, procurement, supply chain planning and operations management.
The expansion of e-commerce, manufacturing, organised retail and multimodal transportation infrastructure has increased the importance of efficient supply chain operations.
Following the collaboration, VJIM students are expected to gain exposure to career opportunities across logistics companies, manufacturing businesses, e-commerce platforms, retail organisations, consulting firms and Global Capability Centres (GCCs).
The agreement also aims to help students understand emerging technologies and business practices shaping the logistics industry.
Dr. Bharat Bhushan Singh, Director of Vignana Jyothi Institute of Management, said the logistics sector was evolving beyond conventional transportation and warehousing functions.
He emphasised that management graduates need practical industry knowledge, professional skills and exposure to real-world business challenges to contribute effectively from the beginning of their careers.
According to him, the partnership with CII Institute of Logistics will bring industry expertise into the academic environment and help develop future professionals for India's supply chain sector.
Mr. R. Dinesh, Chairman of CII Institute of Logistics, highlighted the importance of skilled professionals in building efficient, technology-driven and resilient supply chains.
He said the collaboration seeks to strengthen industry-academia engagement and prepare management graduates to address emerging challenges in logistics and support India's ambitions of becoming a globally competitive manufacturing and logistics hub.
Established in 1993, Vignana Jyothi Institute of Management is an autonomous management institute based in Hyderabad, Telangana.
The institute offers two-year, full-time PGDM programmes. Its official admission information states that the programmes are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) and recognised as equivalent to an MBA by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
