Indian citizens enrolled in eligible STEM programs can apply online by March 16, with selection based on academic performance, institutional approval, and available facilities at the center.

The Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre has invited applications for internships under its Human Resource Development Division, offering opportunities to students enrolled in science and technology programs aligned with the Department of Space and ISRO initiatives. The application window is open until March 16.
The internships are available to Indian citizens pursuing BTech, BE, MTech, ME, MSc, Integrated MSc/MTech, BS-MS, and PhD programs.

Applicants must have secured at least 60% aggregate marks or a CGPA of 6.32 on a 10-point scale. Registration and application submission can be completed through the official portal at vsscinternship.vssc.gov.in/HRDD_LOGIN/beforelogincontroller.
As per the notification, internships are open to undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral students from recognized institutions in India and abroad, provided they are enrolled in regular on-campus courses or have completed their studies within six months prior to applying. PhD applicants must have completed their coursework.
For BE and BTech students, project work must be undertaken in groups of two to four students from the same branch, semester, and college. Individual applications will not be accepted.
Eligible candidates include final-year students of BE/BTech, BSc in Physics or Chemistry, and diploma courses in Electronics, Mechanical, or Computer Science.
Students may choose from designated block periods during the year. Applications for the July to September session must be submitted by May 15, while those for the October to December session must be filed by Aug 15.
The minimum internship duration for BE and BTech students is 45 days, and the maximum is 90 days. For BSc and diploma students, the duration ranges from 45 to 60 days. In general, the program duration is between 21 and 45 days, depending on the category.
Each application must include detailed biodata for all group members, outlining academic qualifications, prior internships or projects, technical skills, and areas of interest.
The application form must be signed by the student and endorsed by the head of department, dean, or principal. Only submissions in the prescribed format will be considered.
The center stated that internships will be allowed only in “unclassified areas of VSSC/ISRO” and clarified that no stipend or financial assistance will be provided.
Selection will depend on facility availability, and not all applicants may be accommodated due to high demand. Selected candidates will be informed via email.
Supporting documents, including mark sheets and details of technical skills and previous project experience, must be uploaded as a single PDF file not exceeding 5 MB.
