UK’s University of Leeds announces £6,000 scholarship for Indian postgraduate students

The University of Leeds, United Kingdom, will offer a £6,000 tuition fee reduction to Indian students through its International Masters Regional Scholarships 2026 for postgraduate programs starting in September 2026.

The scholarship is aimed at supporting talented students by easing their living expenses and helping them focus on their academic pursuits.

“The scholarship aims to support talented individuals, helping to ease living costs and enabling students to focus on their education,” the university said.

The award is granted automatically as a fee reduction to eligible candidates.

To be eligible, students must be nationals of India or other eligible regions, self-funded or partially funded, and classified as international fee-paying students.

They must also hold a conditional or unconditional offer for a master’s program (including MRes) beginning in September 2026.

The Leeds MBA and online programs are not covered under this scholarship.

Although the award cannot be deferred to a future intake, it can be combined with other University of Leeds or external scholarships as long as the total funding does not exceed 100% of tuition fees.
