The initiative includes guided tours, lab visits, and faculty interactions to help top JEE Advanced 2025 students and their parents experience IIT Madras before finalizing counseling choices.
IIT Madras has invited the top 200 all-India rankers of JEE Advanced 2025 for an all-expenses-paid visit to its Chennai campus, including airfare for one accompanying parent per student.
The initiative aims to help top engineering aspirants explore campus life, academic resources, and research opportunities before making their final counseling decisions.
“We want to create a welcoming experience and show students what life here is really like, not just in terms of academics, but also community, research, and support,” said an IIT Madras official.
During the visit, students and their parents will tour the institute’s labs, hostels, classrooms, and innovation hubs. They will also interact with faculty members, current students, and alumni, gaining insight into life at one of India’s leading engineering institutions.
IITs typically engage in outreach activities such as alumni meets and personalized counseling to attract top rankers. This year, IIT Madras has gone further by covering air travel, ensuring that students and families from across the country can participate.
“We had read a lot about IIT Madras, but being here gives us a much clearer picture. It helps to walk through the labs, see the hostels, and speak directly with professors,” said a parent from Mumbai.
The JEE Advanced 2025 results were announced on June 2 by IIT Kanpur, the organizing institute for this year.
