He described the Rozgar Mela as a platform that has developed into a permanent institutional mechanism for government recruitment.

“Over the past few years, Rozgar Mela has become an institution. Through this platform, lakhs of young people have already received appointment letters in different government departments,” the Prime Minister said.

Highlighting global outreach initiatives, PM Modi said the Union government is entering into trade and mobility agreements with several countries, expanding employment prospects for Indian youth.

“These agreements are creating multiple opportunities for our young workforce,” he added.

The Prime Minister also referred to ongoing governance and economic reforms, saying, “The country has set off on a reform express. Its objective is to make life easier and business easier.”

According to an official statement from the Prime Minister’s Office, more than 11 lakh appointment letters have been issued through Rozgar Melas conducted nationwide so far.

The initiative, the statement said, reflects the government’s priority on employment generation and its commitment to translating policy intent into measurable outcomes.

The 18th Rozgar Mela was held simultaneously at 45 locations across the country. Candidates selected from various states and Union Territories will be joining multiple ministries and departments of the Government of India.

New recruits have been appointed across a wide range of sectors, including the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the Department of Financial Services, and the Department of Higher Education.

Appointments have also been made in organizations under the Ministry of Defence, the Department of Atomic Energy, and public sector undertakings such as PGCIL and HPCL.

The roles span technical, administrative, and professional positions, including constables in Central Armed Police Forces, nursing officers, junior associates, assistant professors, scientific assistants, junior engineers, executive trainees, and other posts.

Launched to speed up recruitment in government services, the Rozgar Mela aims to provide meaningful employment while strengthening citizen-focused governance across the country.
