The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences has postponed NEET PG 2025 to conduct the exam in a single shift; new dates, admit cards, and city slips are awaited.
The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2025 has been postponed by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) following a Supreme Court directive.
The exam, which was earlier scheduled for June 15, will now be held on a new date to be announced soon.
According to an official notification issued by NBEMS on June 2, the exam will now be conducted in a single shift rather than two.
The decision to move to a single-shift format requires additional arrangements, including increasing the number of test centers across the country.
“NEET PG 2025 is the qualifying exam for medical graduates in India who seek admission to postgraduate programs such as MD, MS, and PG Diploma,” the board noted.
The release of the advanced city intimation slip, originally scheduled for June 2, has also been delayed.
Updated dates for the city slip, admit card, and new exam schedule will be announced shortly.
Once available, candidates will be able to download their hall tickets from the official NBE website.
After the exam, qualified candidates will take part in the counseling process for admission to PG medical courses.
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) oversees counselling for 50% of the All India Quota (AIQ) seats, while state authorities manage the remaining seats.
