Soft copies for key subjects are now accessible through the official portal, enabling free downloads, supporting remote learners, and ensuring access to updated curriculum-aligned study material for exams.

Students can now download Class 9 textbooks for free, as the National Council of Educational Research and Training has released digital versions on its official website, ncert.nic.in.
The update was shared through NCERT’s official account on X, confirming that soft copies of key subjects are available for online access at no cost.

The move is expected to support millions of students, especially those in remote or underserved regions where access to printed books remains limited.
Digital textbooks have been uploaded for subjects including English, Mathematics, Science, and Sanskrit. Titles currently available include Kaveri for English, Ganita Manjari for Mathematics, Exploration for Science, and Sharada for Sanskrit.
These editions are aligned with the latest curriculum and are intended for Class 9 students preparing for their examinations.
To access the materials, students need to visit ncert.nic.in and navigate to the Textbooks section on the homepage.
After selecting Class 9, they can choose their subject and download the content either chapter-wise or as a complete PDF. The website also provides direct links to individual books for easier access.
NCERT has advised students to rely only on its official website for downloads to ensure the accuracy and authenticity of the study material, along with alignment to the latest syllabus.
The availability of these resources ahead of exams is expected to improve access to quality study material and make learning more convenient for students across the country.
