Italy has announced scholarship opportunities for Indian students seeking undergraduate and postgraduate education in 2026, according to YES Italy, an education consultancy focused on higher education in the country.

The country offers comparatively low tuition fees at public universities, access to government and university-level scholarships, and post-study employment opportunities.

Popular fields include engineering, architecture, design, medicine, business, and humanities. Leading universities offering scholarships include:

  • University of Bologna: International Talents and Merit Scholarships under the Unibo Action scheme, up to €11,000 (₹11.5 lakh) per year, with full tuition fee waivers in select cases.
  • Politecnico di Milano: Excellence Scholarships of €5,000 to €10,000 annually, with partial or full tuition waivers for master’s programs.
  • Politecnico di Torino: Scholarships of €4,000 to €8,000 per year, including tuition reductions for technical and engineering courses.
  • University of Padua: International Excellence Scholarship Programme covering full tuition and an annual allowance of €7,000 to €8,000.
