ISRO Recruitment 2026: Applications open for 22 Technical Assistant, Technician and other posts

ISRO has opened applications for 22 vacancies across Technical Assistant, Technician, Cook and Fireman posts. Eligible candidates can submit their applications online through the official website, isro.gov.in.

The recruitment includes five Technical Assistant positions, 13 Technician posts, one Cook vacancy and three Fireman positions. Candidates should review the official recruitment notification for post-specific educational qualifications, age requirements and other eligibility conditions before applying.

Eligibility criteria

Applicants must fulfill the prescribed educational qualifications and age limits for the respective posts. Since the requirements vary depending on the position, candidates should refer to the detailed notification available on the ISRO website before completing the application.

Selection process

Candidates for the advertised posts will be selected through a written examination followed by a skill test. The Fireman selection process will additionally include a medical examination.

The written examination will be held offline using the OMR method at examination centers in Tirunelveli and Chennai. Applicants will need to indicate their preferred examination city while submitting the online application.

The skill test will be conducted on a 'GO/NO-GO' basis. Candidates who qualify in the skill test will be considered for final selection based on their performance in the written examination.

ISRO Fireman recruitment: Physical Efficiency Test

Candidates shortlisted for the Fireman position will have to clear a Physical Efficiency Test (PET). The test will be conducted in two stages, with candidates who qualify in Stage 1 proceeding to Stage 2.

Those who clear the second stage will subsequently undergo a Detailed Medical Examination as part of the selection process.

Application fee

Candidates are required to pay an application fee of ₹750. The fee can be paid online through the SBI e-Payment gateway after submitting the application.

Applicants can use internet banking, domestic debit cards, domestic credit cards or UPI to complete the payment.
