The program offers engineering and research students short-term exposure to secure military technology projects, with applications open until December 21 and placements planned at select Army locations.

The Indian Army has invited applications for the Indian Army Internship Programme 2025, a specialized initiative aimed at engineering students and research scholars interested in advanced defense technologies.
The program, titled "Beyond Silos, Beyond Limits," is designed to place young technologists in real-world defense innovation projects, offering hands-on experience with mission-critical and secure systems.

Selected interns will receive a stipend of ₹1,000 per day during the training period, officials said.
According to the Army, the internship focuses on practical exposure to high-security digital platforms and artificial intelligence-based applications currently used in defense operations.
Participants will work closely with Army teams on live technology systems developed for operational use. Applications for the program will remain open until Dec 21.
Final-year students or graduates with a BE or BTech degree in computer science, information technology, data science, or electronics and communication engineering are eligible to apply.
Candidates pursuing or holding an MTech degree in artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, or software engineering can also apply, along with PhD scholars specializing in AI and ML, DevSecOps, software engineering, or big data.
The 75-day internship will begin on Jan 12, 2026, and conclude on March 27, 2026.
Selected candidates will be posted in New Delhi or Bengaluru, where they will operate within secure Army facilities.
Officials said the program will allow interns to develop advanced software solutions and artificial intelligence models while working on military-grade applications.
The work will involve classified environments and next-generation technologies deployed by the Indian Army.
The technology stack covered under the program includes frontend and backend development, cloud computing, artificial intelligence and machine learning, DevSecOps, geographic information systems, and secure application programming interfaces.
Tools and platforms range from modern web frameworks to autonomous systems, large language models, containerization technologies, and spatial analysis software.

Eligible candidates can apply online through the official application link or by scanning the QR code shared by the Army. Queries related to the program can be sent to [email protected].
Officials advised interested candidates to apply early, noting that selections will be based on academic credentials, technical expertise, and project relevance.
The Army said the internship is intended to give young professionals direct exposure to defense innovation while strengthening the country’s technological capabilities.
