IIM Sambalpur Partners with IG Drones to Establish Drone Excellence Center

IIM Sambalpur has entered into a strategic partnership with IG Drones, a prominent company in the Drone Tech and Analytics sector, through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This collaboration is set to enhance the application of drone technology in the fields of Business Analytics, Management Strategies, and Public Policy.

The formalization of this partnership took place at the 100-Cube Start-up Conclave held at IIM Sambalpur, an event supported by the Ministry of Education and graced by Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

As part of the agreement, IG Drones will establish a Centre of Excellence at the Delhi Campus of IIM Sambalpur, creating a focal point for research and development in drone technology. The initiative will concentrate on leveraging drone technology for sophisticated business and management applications, as well as policy-making processes.

IG Drones has already set up more than 15 such centers across the country and plans to create 1000 Centers of Excellence to equip Indian youth with advanced drone skills. The firm has formed tactical alliances with various state governments, over 100 PSUs, and key MNCs to deliver an extensive array of drone services.

Dr. Mahadeo Jaiswal, Director of IIM Sambalpur, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating that it aligns with the institute’s goal to be a leader among IIMs in embracing advanced technology for educational and governance excellence.
