IIM Mumbai introduces blended postgraduate program to boost leadership skills

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Mumbai has launched a new two-year Blended Post Graduate Programme in Management (MBA–BPGP) in collaboration with Jaro Education.

The program, equivalent to an MBA, is designed for working professionals who want to enhance their management and leadership skills without interrupting their careers.

According to IIM Mumbai, the MBA–BPGP will be delivered in a hybrid mode that includes live online classes and two one-week on-campus immersion sessions, one held midway through the program and the other at the end.

These sessions will provide participants with opportunities to interact directly with faculty, engage in campus-based learning, and network with peers.

The curriculum includes over 1,200 hours of interactive instruction in areas such as Operations, Marketing, Finance, Data Science, and Sustainability.

It focuses on strengthening strategic, analytical, and leadership competencies required in today’s business environment.

Participants will learn to apply classroom concepts to real-world business challenges, fostering innovation and effective problem-solving in their organizations.

The program also emphasizes digital transformation and sustainability to meet current industry demands.

Enrollees will have access to IIM Mumbai’s digital library and academic resources throughout the course.

The MBA–BPGP is open to executives, managers, and entrepreneurs from both public and private sectors who hold a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwD candidates) from a recognized university and have a minimum of three years of full-time work experience as of Dec 31.

Applicants must also have a valid CAT, GMAT, GRE, or IMAT (IIM Mumbai Admission Test) score taken within the last five years (June 2020 onwards).

Selection will be based on academic background, work experience, test performance, and other criteria as decided by IIM Mumbai.

The program seeks to develop professionals who can “think strategically, lead humanely, and innovate ethically” to address modern business challenges with managerial excellence.
