Parents claim answer sheets were held at the school before submission, resulting in unusually low marks for several students, and urge a full investigation with strict action against those responsible.

Students and families at Government Senior Secondary School in Jyora, Jhanduta, have raised serious allegations of answer sheet tampering in the Class 10 Himachal Board drawing exam held in March 2025.
At a press conference at the Circuit House in Bilaspur, they claimed that the answer sheets were kept at the school for a period before being sent to the board. When results were announced, several students received unexpectedly low marks in drawing.

A complaint was filed with the School Education Board, and a subsequent forensic report reportedly showed clear evidence of tampering with the answer sheets and responses.
Parents said the irregularities caused many meritorious students to be excluded from the merit list and noted that the issue appears to involve 11 students from Jyora School.
They also alleged that the same center was used for conducting the exam and collecting answer sheets, which violates board regulations.
Despite the incident occurring nearly a year ago, families say no concrete action has been taken.
During the press conference, students and parents demanded that the secretary of the State School Education Board conduct a thorough, impartial investigation and take strict legal action against those responsible, ensuring accountability for compromising the students’ futures.
