NTA launches certification program for invigilators and center superintendents

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has introduced a new training program for examination officials through the iGOT Karmayogi Bharat platform, aiming to strengthen the administration of national entrance tests, including NEET (UG).

Called "Pariksha Karmayogi: Capacity-Building Programme for Examination Officials," the initiative is intended to equip examination personnel with the knowledge and skills required for the secure, standardized, and efficient conduct of offline, pen-and-paper examinations.

The program is primarily targeted at Center Superintendents and Invigilators, who are responsible for overseeing examination operations at test centers across the country.

According to NTA, the course is structured into four modules covering different stages of the examination process.

The first module introduces participants to their roles and responsibilities and highlights the importance of fairness, transparency, and integrity in examination management.

The second module focuses on preparations before the examination, including center readiness, security measures, and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

The third module deals with activities on the day of the examination and is divided into four segments covering procedures before the test begins, at the start of the examination, during the examination, and after its completion.

The final module functions as a Quick Reference Guide, offering a summary of essential instructions, duties, and operational requirements for examination staff.

Hosted on the iGOT Karmayogi Bharat platform, the training program allows participants to learn at their own pace and includes assessments leading to certification.

NTA said the initiative is expected to improve compliance with established procedures, enhance operational efficiency, and strengthen accountability at examination centers nationwide.

The agency emphasized that trained examination personnel are essential for the smooth and fair conduct of large-scale entrance examinations and said the program is designed to promote uniform standards of examination administration across the country.

According to NTA, the launch of Pariksha Karmayogi is part of its broader effort to use technology-enabled capacity building to reinforce the examination ecosystem through trained and certified manpower.
