The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially begun accepting applications for the University Grants Commission- National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) December 2024 examination.
Eligible candidates aiming to secure positions such as Junior Research Fellow (JRF), Assistant Professor, or seeking admission to Ph.D. programs in Indian universities can apply through the official website, (https://ugcnet.nta.ac.in), by 11 December 2024.

Exam Details
UGC NET is a nationwide examination conducted to assess candidates’ qualifications for academic and research roles. For the December 2024 cycle, the exam will be held in Computer-Based Test (CBT) format across 85 subjects.
Application Fees
- General/Unreserved category: ₹1,150
- General- Economical Weaker Section (EWS) and Other Backward Class (OBC)- Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) categories: ₹600
- Schedule Caste, Schedule Tribe & Person with Disabilities (SC, ST, PwD), and third gender categories: ₹325

Only one application form is allowed per candidate; submitting multiple forms will lead to disqualification.
