At the 4th ICMG–IV ACCMS Theme Meeting, global scientists gather at SRM University-AP to honour Prof. Tanusri Saha-Dasgupta’s pioneering contributions to computational materials science and her enduring impact on research, mentorship, and international collaboration.

The 4th International Conference on Materials Genome (ICMG - IV)- ACCMS Theme Meeting at SRM University-AP, Amaravati, was marked by a distinguished felicitation ceremony celebrating the 60th birthday of Prof. Tanusri Saha-Dasgupta, Director and Senior Professor at the S. N. Bose National Centre for Basic Sciences, and honouring her lifelong contributions to scientific research.
Chaired by Prof. Ranjit Thapa, Dean- Research of SRM University-AP, the ceremony reflected on Prof. Saha-Dasgupta’s pioneering work in computational condensed matter physics, quantum materials, and materials informatics. With over 300 research publications, numerous doctoral scholars mentored, and prestigious recognitions to her name, she has played a transformative role in strengthening electronic structure research and computational infrastructure in India.

The event was graced by members of the ACCMS Working Group representing five nations: Prof. Vannajan Sanghiran Lee, Professor, University of Malaya, Malaysia; Prof. Siriporn Jungsuttiwong, Professor, Ubon Ratchathani University, Thailand; Prof. Ryoji Sahara, Professor, National Institute for Materials Science, Japan; Prof. Hiroshi Mizuseki, Professor, Computational Research Center, Korea Institute of Science and Technology, Korea; and Prof. Shen Lei, Senior Lecturer, National University of Singapore, Singapore.
Also present were Prof. G. P. Das, Professor Emeritus, Research Institute for Sustainable Energy, TCG Crest, India and Prof. Ch. Satish Kumar, Vice-Chancellor of SRM University-AP.
Tributes highlighted not only Prof. Saha-Dasgupta’s scientific brilliance but also her leadership, mentorship, and global collaborations. The ceremony concluded with the formal presentation of a memento and citation, celebrating a career that continues to inspire the international materials science community.
