Inaugurated by APCRDA Additional Commissioner A. Bhargav Teja, SRM Public School Amaravati begins its journey with classes from Pre-KG to Grade 2.

A new chapter in school education began in Andhra Pradesh today with the inauguration of SRM Public School, Amaravati, by Mr A Bhargav Teja IAS, Additional Commissioner, Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA), in the presence of distinguished dignitaries, parents, educators, and well-wishers. SRM Public School Amaravati is the second school under the SRM Group and the first to be established in Amaravati at the SRM University-AP campus. It commenced operations for the 2026–27 academic year, offering classes from Pre-KG to Grade 2.
The event brought together leaders from the education sector, including the Correspondent, SRM Group of Schools, Mr M Subramanian.

Addressing the gathering, Mr A Bhargav Teja, IAS, spoke about the importance of nurturing young learners through meaningful, inclusive, and innovative educational practices that prepare children for the opportunities and challenges of the future. He applauded SRM Group for its credibility and excellence in education, and its role as a proactive partner in major national and state government initiatives.
Dr Vinayak Kalluri, Registrar, SRM University-AP, also addressed the audience, highlighting the university’s commitment to educational excellence, innovation, and community engagement, and expressing confidence that SRM Public School Amaravati would emerge as a significant contributor to the educational landscape of Andhra Pradesh.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr K R Maalathi, Advisor, SRM Group of Schools, said, “Our vision is to create a school where children are happy, teachers are empowered, and learning is meaningful. We aspire to nurture confident, compassionate, and capable young individuals who will contribute positively to society while remaining deeply rooted in values.”
SRM Public School Amaravati aims to provide a strong foundation for young learners through a balanced approach that integrates academic excellence, creativity, innovation, character development, and student well-being.
The school welcomes its founding batch of students as it begins its journey with a clear mission—to become a benchmark institution in Andhra Pradesh, recognised for educational excellence, innovation, character-building, and holistic child development.
