The government of Andhra Pradesh has sanctioned the Amaravati Quantum Valley Declaration (AQVD) to advance quantum science and technology in the region
What is it?
AQVD is a collaborative framework endorsed by the Andhra Pradesh government and industry giants such as IBM, TCS, and L&T to establish a quantum technology ecosystem in Amaravati.
Objective: To encourage teamwork, nurture talent, enhance infrastructure, and establish global partnerships in quantum computing, communication, and sensing technologies.
Importance:
Establishes Amaravati as a competitive global center for quantum research.
Encourages collaborations between public and private sectors for innovation.
Promotes training and investigation in advanced science.
Aligns with India's overarching quantum mission objectives and technology-driven economic growth.
