Candidates must complete fee payment, upload their photographs and signatures, and download the confirmation page, as thousands of registered applicants are yet to finish the process.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the registration deadline for the Joint CSIR-UGC NET December 2026 examination, giving candidates additional time to complete their application process.
Aspirants can now submit their online application forms until Nov 9, 2026, up to 11:50 pm, without paying a late fee.

The agency announced the deadline extension through an update on its official X handle. Candidates who have not yet registered can complete the process through the official website, csirnet.nta.nic.in.
According to the latest registration figures shared by the NTA on Nov 6, a total of 2,36,656 candidates have submitted their registrations. Of these, 1,98,479 applicants have completed the examination fee payment, subject to bank reconciliation.
