CRPF recruitment 2026: Applications start for technical, tradesman posts

The Central Reserve Police Force will open applications for 9,195 Constable posts under Technical, Tradesman, and Pioneer categories starting April 20, 2026, inviting eligible Class 10 pass candidates to apply online.

Applicants with a matriculation certificate from a recognized board can apply, although certain roles require additional technical qualifications, ITI certification, or relevant work experience.

The salary for selected candidates will range between ₹21,700 and ₹69,100. The last date to submit applications is May 19, 2026.

For the Driver post, the age limit is set between 21 and 27 years, while for all other posts it ranges from 18 to 23 years.

Out of the total vacancies, 79 positions are reserved for female candidates, with the remaining allocated to male candidates. Additionally, 20 posts fall under the Pioneer category.

The recruitment process will include a Physical Efficiency Test followed by a Physical Standard Test, a Computer Based Test, a trade or skill test, document verification, and a medical examination.

Final selection will be based on performance in the Computer Based Test, provided candidates qualify in all other stages.

Vacancies are spread across multiple trades such as cook, driver, carpenter, tailor, barber, and other tradesman roles.

Candidates can apply through the official CRPF website by completing registration, filling out the application form, uploading required documents, and paying the application fee. The fee is ₹100 for male candidates belonging to General, OBC, and EWS categories.
