Gandhi highlighted student concerns at the Indian Statistical Institute, warning that ideological interference threatens academic freedom and urging that education and institutions remain guided by knowledge, science, and merit.
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Dec 26 accused the BJP-RSS combine of attempting to undermine education and academic institutions, emphasizing that schools and universities should operate on knowledge and science rather than ideology.
In a Facebook post, Gandhi said he recently met with students of the Indian Statistical Institute at Jan Sansad, who expressed concerns similar to those raised by students and teachers from other institutions nationwide.
“The students explained that the ISI is gradually being taken over institutionally by the RSS,” Gandhi alleged.
