The initiative will include training programs, awareness sessions, and counseling support for school staff and students, aiming to promote informed choices and prevent substance abuse in CBSE institutions.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will sign an agreement with the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Sept 3 to strengthen efforts against drug use among students.
The memorandum of understanding (MoU) will be signed at the CBSE Headquarters in Dwarka, New Delhi.
The partnership aims to make all CBSE-affiliated schools across the country drug-free.
As part of the initiative, both organizations will conduct awareness sessions, workshops, and counseling programs for teachers, counselors, and students to encourage informed and healthy choices.
Immediately following the signing of the MoU, CBSE will host a special awareness program for school principals and counselors.
The session will focus on identifying and addressing substance abuse among students and will provide educators with actionable strategies to ensure a safe and supportive school environment.
The awareness program for principals and counselors will be held on September 3, 2025, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, with reporting time at 9:30 am.
The venue is the CBSE Integrated Office Complex, Sector-23, Phase-1, Dwarka, New Delhi – 110077.
