The Andhra Pradesh Department of School Education has concluded the 2025 teacher transfer and promotion process, executing one of the most extensive administrative efforts in the state's education system.
The operation, overseen by Director of School Education V Vijayarama Raju, covered staff across government, Zilla Parishad, municipal corporation, and municipal schools.
In total, 67,732 transfers and 4,477 promotions were carried out.
This included the transfer of 1,494 Grade II headmasters, with 1,375 receiving promotions. Among Model Primary School headmasters, 5,717 were transferred and 1,592 promoted.
School assistants constituted the largest group, with 27,804 transfers and 1,510 promotions.
Additionally, 31,174 secondary grade teachers (SGTs), 1,199 language scholars, and 344 physical education teachers were transferred, though no promotions occurred in these categories.
Officials stressed that the process was completed in full compliance with government guidelines to ensure transparency, fairness, and merit-based decisions.
Teachers and headmasters with concerns have been encouraged to approach the designated Problem Resolution Committees at the district or zonal level.
These bodies are empowered to review complaints backed by proper documentation.
“All representations will be reviewed thoroughly and resolved in accordance with existing service rules,” said Director Vijayarama Raju, affirming the department’s commitment to fairness and accountability throughout the process.
