The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mandi has introduced its PRAYAS 4.0 initiative, a one-month residential program scheduled for July 2026 at its campus.
The program is being conducted by the Centre for Continuing Education (CCE) and focuses on providing exposure to emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, and the Internet of Things.

PRAYAS, which stands for “Promoting and Accelerating Young and Aspiring Students,” is aimed at strengthening foundational as well as advanced technical skills.
It is open to students from diverse academic backgrounds, and prior technical knowledge is not required.
Program structure and learning
The PRAYAS 4.0 program at IIT Mandi follows a structured academic model combining classroom instruction with practical training. Participants will attend daily sessions of around 5–6 hours, conducted by faculty members.
The curriculum blends theoretical concepts with laboratory-based exercises to ensure applied learning. Over the four-week duration, learners will progress from fundamental topics to advanced applications.
Key areas include embedded systems, basics of artificial intelligence, sensor technologies, and intelligent automation.
Students will also gain access to IIT Mandi’s advanced laboratories and infrastructure for hands-on experience.
Residential facility and environment
The program is fully residential, with on-campus accommodation and dining arrangements provided to participants. This is designed to create a focused learning environment with continuous academic engagement.
Fee and certification details
The total program fee is ₹62,400 plus applicable GST, which includes tuition, lodging, and meals. Interested candidates can apply through the official CCE IIT Mandi website at cce.iitmandi.ac.in.
Upon successful completion, participants will be awarded a certificate from the Centre for Continuing Education, IIT Mandi, recognizing their training in advanced technology domains.
