
After facing flak, tech giants Google and Apple have now stopped snooping on users’ conversations. While Apple has suspended the program that let its virtual assistant Siri listen to users’ recordings for “quality control”, Google has stopped listening and transcribing Google Assistant recordings in Europe.

To highlight the strength of conversations, micro-blogging app Twitter on Tuesday launched a #TweetUp in partnership with Shared Studios an organization that connects people through videos.

Chandrayaan-2: Third Orbit-Raising Activity Completed Successfully India’s second Moon mission Chandrayaan-2 lifts off onboard GSLV Mk III-M1 launch vehicle from Satish Dhawan Space Center at Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh. The third orbit raising activity for Chandrayaan-2 spacecraft has been performed successfully at 3.12 p.m. on Monday, the Indian space agency said. The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) said the orbit of the Chandrayaan-2 was raised to 276 x 71,792 km by firing the onboard motors for 989 seconds. All spacecraft parameters are normal, it said.

Europe’s top court on Monday said websites using Facebook “Like” button are liable for data as “Like” button plugins can transmit data back to Facebook even if they don’t click on those buttons. The operator of a website that features a Facebook ‘Like’ button can be a controller jointly with Facebook in respect of the collection and transmission to Facebook of the personal data of visitors to its website,” said the Court of Justice of European Union (ECJ) in its ruling.

Microsoft has acquired a data privacy and governance service called BlueTalon. BlueTalon helps companies determine and set up policies for data access by employees. It then handles the enforcement of those policies and has tools for access and oversight.
