Trump’s remarks came as US forces continued strikes on Iranian targets, with Washington defending the military campaign as necessary to counter threats from Tehran.

US President Donald Trump said the United States is performing strongly in the ongoing war against Iran, expressing confidence in the military campaign as fighting continues to escalate across the Middle East.
Speaking to technology executives at the White House, Trump said the US was “doing very well” in its operations against Iran, while acknowledging that the timeline for the war remains unclear as combat continues.

He said the US campaign against Iran was progressing strongly. “We’re doing well on the war front, to put it mildly. Somebody said on a scale of 10, where would you rate it? I said about a 15,” Trump said.
Trump added that the United States was now in a commanding position in the conflict. “We’re in a very strong position now, and their leadership is just rapidly going,” he said.
The conflict intensified after the United States joined Israel in launching strikes against Iranian targets, dramatically widening the regional confrontation. Trump has repeatedly defended the operation, arguing that the military action was necessary to counter what Washington views as threats from Tehran.
He also said US forces would continue operations until their objectives are achieved, stressing that Washington has strong strategic goals in the campaign. The president warned that the conflict could last several weeks and potentially longer depending on developments on the ground.
The war has already triggered retaliatory attacks by Iran and its allies across the region, including missile and drone strikes targeting US interests and partner nations in the Middle East. The escalating violence has raised concerns about a wider regional conflict and disruptions to global energy supplies and shipping routes.
International leaders have called for restraint as the situation remains volatile. Analysts warn that the conflict could have significant geopolitical consequences if hostilities expand further across the region.
