The United Kingdom government has started the application process for the UK-India Young Professionals Scheme 2025.
The scheme offers 3,000 Indian nationals the opportunity of living, working, studying, and traveling in the United Kingdom for up to two years.
A free ballot on gov.uk will be available from 2:30 pm (IST) on Feb 18 to 2:30 pm (IST) on Feb 20, beginning the application process.
The participants will be chosen randomly for the program. Results are anticipated two weeks after the ballot closes.
The voting procedure is easy and cost-free. On the official ballot form, candidates must enter their name, birthdate, phone number, email address, and passport information (with a scanned copy).
The selected candidates will be eligible to apply for the visa. This program is not available to those with a Youth Mobility Scheme visa.
The Indian applicants must be at least 18 years old and a maximum of 30 years old on the day of the journey, proving that they have saved £2,530 (about ₹2,70,824) for self-support and do not have dependent children under the age of 18.
In order to be eligible to apply, UK citizens must be between 18 and 30 years old, have a UK bachelor's degree or higher, complete all eligibility requirements, and have ₹2,50,000 in their bank account for at least 30 days.
Visit gov.uk for detailed eligibility information.
Within two weeks of the ballot closing, selected applicants will receive an email asking them to submit an application for a visa.
After receiving the email, they will have 90 days to finish the online visa application, send in their biometrics, and pay all applicable fees, such as the visa application fee and the immigration health surcharge.
Applicants must hold the needed funds for 28 consecutive days, with the last day being within 31 days of submitting their visa application.
Those selected must return to India after a two-year stay.
