After schools and hospitals in Delhi, two prominent colleges of Delhi University on May 23 received bomb threats. Lady Shri Ram College and Sri Venkateswara College received threat calls after which Delhi Fire Service and Delhi Police arrived at the spot.

"Some calls were received regarding bomb threats in colleges. All are bogus calls. No need to worry," said Delhi Police, as reported by Economic Times.

On May 22, North Block, where several ministries including the Home Ministry are located received a bomb threat through an email, according to an official of Delhi Fire Services.

According to a report by Economic Times, the threat was received through an email around 3.30 pm by a senior officer posted at the ministry. However, the threat was declared a hoax after nothing suspicious was found.

Last month, around 150 schools in Delhi received bomb threats. Since then, similar threats have been received in various schools, hospitals in a number of places including Ahmedabad, Jaipur and Bengaluru.

On May 21, Delhi Police officials said that the IP address of the bomb threat emails received by schools in Delhi-NCR has been traced back to Hungary's capital Budapest.

According to officials, the initial investigation has led to the suspicion of a "deeper conspiracy" hatched by a terror group during the ongoing Lok Sabha polls,

Earlier, the High Court in April requested a detailed status report from the Delhi government regarding these incidents in private schools.
