A new lookout notice has been served to JD(S) MLA H D Revanna and his son Prajwal Revanna, who are embroiled in a scandalous video case that has sent shockwaves through the political landscape of Karnataka.

Karnataka's Home Minister, Gangadharaiah Parameshwara, informed the media on Saturday that lookout notices have been served to both H D Revanna and Prajwal Revanna. The first notice was issued to H D Revanna due to suspicions of his plans to travel overseas. The second notice was served on Friday, with a deadline for response set for Saturday evening.

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) informed Chief Minister Siddaramaiah that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is likely to issue a blue corner notice to Karnataka MP Prajwal Revanna. He is believed to have escaped to Germany using a diplomatic passport after being accused of sexual assault.

Interpol's blue corner notices serve as international calls for collaboration or warnings that allow law enforcement agencies in member countries to share crucial crime-related information.

Prajwal, the grandson of India's former prime minister H D Deve Gowda, and his father H D Revanna, an MLA from Holenarasipura, have been implicated in the sex scandal involving multiple women.

On April 28, the Holenarasipura town police lodged a complaint when pen drives containing approximately 3,000 files began circulating widely within the Hassan Lok Sabha constituency.

The initial lookout notice was served to H D Revanna and Prajwal after they requested time to present themselves before the investigation team.

In the meantime, H D Revanna has been charged with kidnapping in relation to the scandalous video case. This action was taken following a complaint filed by the son of a woman who was allegedly kidnapped and sexually exploited.

The Holenarsipura MLA and his associate were charged under Sections 364A (kidnapping for ransom), 365 (kidnapping with intent to cause harm), and 34 (common intention) of the IPC. The FIR, filed by KR Nagar police, lists H D Revanna as the primary accused and another man, identified as Babanna, as the second accused, according to a senior police official.

The Ministry of External Affairs said on Thursday that Prajwal had travelled to Germany on a diplomatic passport without seeking or receiving any political clearance from the ministry. MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal stated in a media briefing that the government did not issue any visa note for Prajwal to visit any other country.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has also written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, requesting the Union government to revoke Prajwal's diplomatic passport and ensure his return through diplomatic and police channels.
