One of the conditions for bail is that the teenager writes an essay on road safety. Meanwhile, the police has booked his father, a real estate hotshot, and the bar that served the kid alcohol.

The Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) on May 20 granted conditional bail to a minor, who rammed his Porsche car into a motorbike while driving under the influence, killing two people, a day earlier.
The son of a prominent real estate developer in the Maharashtrian metropolitan , the 17-year-old was detained by police and produced before the JJB which rejected a plea by the cops to try the accused as an adult considering the seriousness of the accident.

The minor was driving the high-end luxury vehicle without license plates after returning from a bar, where CCTV footage showed that he was drinking alcohol, and rammed into motorbike at high speed, killing the two riders on the spot, police said.
According to the FIR, the incident occurred on Sunday in Pune's Kalyaninagar area when the speeding Porsche struck the bike, killing two IT engineers, Aneesh Awadhiya and Ashwini Koshta, on the spot while the victims were returning home on their motorcycle after a party at a restaurant in Kalyani Nagar when the accident occurred.
“The juvenile has been apprehended and his father and the owner of a bar that served him alcohol have been booked. An FIR has been lodged, and an investigation is underway," Vijay Kumar, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Pune City, said.
As part of his bail conditions, the minor has been asked to write an essay on accidents, work with the Yerawada traffic police for 15 days, visit a de-addiction counselling centre where the counselling report will be submitted to the JJB, and undergo treatment to quit drinking and seek psychiatric counselling.
The minor also needs to visit the Regional Transport Office and study all rules and regulations and make a presentation of the same before the JJB within 15 days. He will assist RTO officer and study traffic rules for 15 days and submit a report of the same to the JJB in 15 days.
Another condition for bail is, the parents shall take care that the Child in Conflict with the Law (CCL) will not be involved in such offences in the future and kept away from bad company, they will keep the CCL present before the Board as and when required.
