In an ongoing conflict with security forces in Chhattisgarh’s Narayanpur district, four Naxals were neutralized. A police officer shared details of the ongoing firefight, stating that a joint security team from the District Reserve Guard (DRG) and the Special Task Force (STF) were participating in the operation.
“The clash between the DRG and STF personnel and the Naxals has been ongoing in the Abujhmad area of the Narayanpur-Kanker border since this morning,” the officer informed ANI. “We can confirm that four Naxals have been eliminated and several others were injured in the ongoing operation in the Narayanpur district. All security personnel are safe,” the officer added. Further details are being awaited.

Earlier, on April 5, a Naxal was eliminated in a clash with the forces in Chhattisgarh’s Dantewada. The firefight occurred in a forest within the Kirandul police station limits when District Reserve Guard (DRG), Bastar Fighters, and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel were conducting an anti-Naxal operation, as per an officer’s statement.
“The operation was initiated based on inputs about the presence of Maoists in the Purangel, Badepalli, Doditumnar, and Gampur areas. At the conclusion of the firefight, the body of a male Naxalite and his weapon were recovered from the location,” the official stated.
