The Design Council of India (FDCI) highlighted Bal's legacy as a founding member and pioneer who revolutionized Indian design on their official Instagram account.
Despite his health challenges, including hospitalization in 2023 due to cardiac problems, Bal maintained his resilience and positivity. In a heartfelt message to his supporters during his recovery, he wrote, “Your support has been a beacon of hope... Let's keep moving forward with hope and courage.”

The Fashion Design Council said, "We mourn the passing of legendary designer Rohit Bal. He was a founding member of the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI).”
“Known for his unique blend of traditional patterns with modern sensibilities, Bal’s work redefined Indian fashion and inspired generations. His legacy of artistry, innovation, and forward-thinking will live on in the fashion world. Rest in peace, GUDDA. You are a legend,” FDC added.
